How is the integration with packagist set up? It doesn't look like it's a github action since I don't see it in workflows.. is it just a setting?

I assume it was setup through packagist, probably through the documentation shown here. I can't tell for sure, because I am not a maintainer on our packagist account. @joshuap Can you please confirm the above and [possibly] make me a maintainer on packagist as well?

Is CHANGELOG supposed to get auto-updated when a PR is merged, and you're just supposed to check that the update happened and looks correct? Or are you supposed to update it manually?

We are supposed to update it manually, I modified the wording to make it clearer.

Note: We could automate this whole release flow with a GitHub Action, just as we did for other packages.
