hey @sjnorth, thanks to @finnp’s work, we now have a script that gets more data for us to give shout outs. Here’s a summary for contirbutions since last shout out, can you work with that? It says who contributed for the first time, who reviewed, and you can give some extra shout outs based on contributions, like Finn’s work on the internal architecture migration and Cecily on the TGIFs. Let me know if you have any farther question

@finnp should it say that @codyzu had his first contirbution to Hoodie since March 24? See https://github.com/issues?q=org%3Ahoodiehq+author%3Acodyzu+is%3Aclosed Or am I missing something?

@gr2m Yeah that is correct. I was calculating that wrongly. I published 1.0.1. Also I replaced your summary in this issue with the fixed summary.

@finnp are you sure the 1.0.1 release? I don’t see it: https://www.npmjs.com/package/github-shoutouts Also I don’t see new commits in https://github.com/finnp/github-shoutouts – could you double check it please?

Two suggestions / thoughts:

  1. Can we show the real name instead of the GitHub usernames? I think @sjnorth looked up the names for the shout out blog post: https://github.com/hoodiehq/hood.ie/pull/276/files
  2. @sjnorth gave a shout out to everyone who commented. I think it would be nice to differentiate, there is a risk that some comments were not helpful or even negative. For that it would be great to see the comments or at least the links, for a quick review?

These are not urgent, I can also make issues on the repo. Great work you two!

@gr2m @finnp yes it would be a big help to see the comment content right away in the initial summary list. it would make the process much easier. can it be done?

@finnp maybe instead of an HTML output, we could do an HTML output with content (e.g. comment excerpts) that can be toggled?

Wow this is an amazing script. Also amazing to see I've done 62 pull requests to Hoodie! Better keep up that total :)
