how to sharing internet and VPN together? #4

Dear Lubomir, thank you so much because of your great job. I know maybe it's completely irrelevant, but I would be very grateful if you could help me 🌷

My iPhone's wifi won't work and I need to share internet+VPN from MacBook to iPhone over USB.

I installed openconnect on my_private_server, and openconnect-gui on MacBook Monterey, but in System Preferences -> Sharing -> internet Sharing -> Share your connection from section, there isn't any instance of openconnect-gui

any idea ?

Hi @s4miii, thanks. Your topology isn't clear for me - openconnect and openconnect-gui are console and gui client apps. I don't expect there is any integration with macOS system. But, I never tried share internet with this gui app. You should look to macOS documentation how internet sharing works and - I guess - you should look to shell script used by openconnect apps on macOS to configure/tune devices, routing etc.

Anyway, you can look to openconnect mailing list or ask here.
