New Stats data: CO2 emissions and electrical consumption for transaction #6093

I am taking a strong interest in considering more factors in identifying a good blockchain.

Among these factors surely the consensus mechanism influences a lot on the general security of the protocol (and clearly of the blockchain itself) but also on the energetic consumptions and the emissions of carbon dioxide during the entire process of a transaction.

To give a food for thought I report a link where we talk about energy efficiency and environmental pollution factors in the entire transaction process (client send, transaction travel, node receive, propagation to other nodes, validation process, inclusion in Ledger, etc.).

Might you include these stats in UW?

I love these stats, just an example taken from https://beincrypto.com/learn/eco-friendly-cryptocurrencies/

Transaction cost in Kilowatt hour (KWh)

Nano 0.000111 Cardano 0.05159 Stellar 0.000173 IOTA 2.0 0.88333333 EOS 0.00122923 Ripple 0.0079 Algorand 0.000008 Ethereum 0.03 Bitcoin 1,449

For reference, transaction cost for a single VISA operation is 0.00149 kWh.

interesting data) Although at this point we would rather not add this to the wallet for the sake of clarity.
