Edit build_console_lin.sh: Set PATH for QMAKE

run build_console_lin.sh ( bash -x build_console_lin.sh )

What's it? you can write normal documentation not for aliens

horsicq commented 5 years ago

[Sarcasm mode on] DiE is a program for software researchers. Sure it is a documentation for the aliens only. [Sarcasm mode off]

What did you not understand? Did you install Qt 4.8.7 on your Linux computer?

ghost commented 5 years ago

Yes installed QT and as now in it to start DLE-engine $ echo $QTDIR /home/mitai/Qt/5.12.0/gcc_64/bin

$ echo $PATH /usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/local/games:/usr/games:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/sbin:/sbin:/home/mitai/Qt/5.12.0/gcc_64/bin/bin what to do next? please forgive my sarcasm

horsicq commented 5 years ago

Open build_console_lin.sh in any text editor Change [QMAKE=/home/hors/QT/4.8.7/bin/qmake] to [QMAKE=/home/mitai/Qt/5.12.0/gcc_64/bin/qmake]

type "bash -x build_console_lin.sh" in terminal

please forgive my sarcasm

No problem!

ghost commented 5 years ago

build_console_lin.sh can't find this file

horsicq commented 5 years ago

You have to run Terminal from source directory

ghost commented 5 years ago

sorry for my stupidity, the file was not in the repository that I was given the link, downloaded the zip from the branch master, found the file, but now the terminal swears bash -x build_console_lin.sh

horsicq commented 5 years ago

Type in the terminal "git clone https://github.com/horsicq/DIE-engine.git" It makes a folder with sources.

If you do not have GIT type in the terminal "sudo apt-get install git"

ghost commented 5 years ago

I'm sorry that I cause so much trouble and a lot of questions, whether your package should lie somewhere in the directory qt, now it is simple /home / mitai / Download

horsicq commented 5 years ago

No matter where the folder is.

/home/mitai/Download is good

ghost commented 5 years ago

don't understand what you're doing wrong QTDIR= / home / mitai/Qt/5.12.0/gcc_64/bin PATH=$PATH:$QTDIR/qmakespec export QTDIR PATH echo $QTDIR /home / mitai/Qt/5.12.0/gcc_64/bin echo $PATH /home / mitai/Qt/5.12.0/gcc_64/bin/qmake but when I run the last command, I get it from the package folder $ bash -x build_console_lin.sh

horsicq commented 5 years ago

If you installed Qt, just open DIE_source/console/console.pro in QtCreator. QtCreator is a program with GUI. The program should be in Qt folder

adoxa commented 5 years ago

Just a simple observation: \r suggests you somehow have a CRLF file, which could be causing the problems.
