YouTube search text colour hard to read with Arc Dark #789

Since I switched from Arc Darker to Arc Dark I have found that it is actually quite hard to see the text in the YouTube search text both:

It would be nice if the text colour was slightly darker so that it is more readable. The Arc Dark theme is a great theme so it's sad to find that it worsens readability in some places.

I am running an up-to-date Arch Linux installation with GNOME 3.24.2 and Arc GTK Theme version 20170302-2 from the official repositories.

I had the same issue with bing input field after switching from Numix to Arc.

The solution is on Arch Wiki

One option is to use this addon for firefox. Hope this helps!

@nishanthkarthik I hope they fix it some time. I don't know why it can't just work in the way that it detects the background colour of the text box and then adjusts the text suitably. But I don't know a huge amount in this area nor the actual Firefox source code. And this probably wouldn't be something that the theme developers could fix.

In the mean time, thanks for the workaround! Very much appreciated!
