No labels at low zoom levels? #191

Comparing Mapnik and HDM here: http://www.openstreetmap.org/edit#map=16/6.3185/16.3766 IMHO some issues with HDM:

no labels for the school
the settlement name (Bozoum) could stay at least z16
no Hospital icon below z15

Sceptical about rendering hospital below z15, for this kind of reason:

School labels have been fixed.

For Bozoum, is it really a place=city?

But are all those "hospitals" really hospitals? Maybe render labels for hospitals, but not for clinics? On Mapnik some "hospitals" are rendered at z15, but not others. Perhaps due to space conflict with other labels.

Good question :)

They actually seem to be tagged as amenity=hospital. Certainly many are not really hospitals. But from my armchair it's hard to distinguish ;)

Maybe one should send an email to talk-ht for asking for tag refinement...

Sorry, I was not clear for the hospitals: actually the icon appears at z15, disappears at z16 and z17 and is displayed again from z18
