Evacuation Center Icon #248

tag is evacuation_centre=yes It will be tagged with Churches, Schools, Sports COmplexes, schools, etc Can be Poi or Way

Suggest Icon at Zoom Level 12 down, so they can be seen in a broader context Maybe the Icon could be just a red Circle?? Simple. and no issues over licensing of the icon A red color would be nice so they stood out in emergency

If we intend to support this tag widely, I think we should also add a wiki page and add it to the JOSM preset.

About the icon, we made the choice not to add any colours to the icons, to make the rendering neutral, because it is intended to be used as background map also. For example, if you want to have the icons red and prominent, you can use a dynamic layer on uMap with an overpass query:

Isn't supposed to be, say, one building that should be such tagged? Just to be sure I'm understanding the usage.

One other question: is the tag supposed to be temporarily added to a feature? Say "this school has been elected as evacuation center during the period of Ruby typhoon", but may or may not be the same in the future when the situation changes?

i.e., for example, when a building is both a school and an evacuation center, should I remove the school icon because it's an evacuation center first until new situation, or should I find a way to keep both informations in the same time (i.e. school and evacuation center for a same building)?

Hi Yohan, ok to all .. The UMap might be enough can teh overpass query be used in JOSM like a TMS layer?

Hi Yhan, this is the issue, It is a dual purpose, but if we use you Umap sugestion or a Tms Layer, etc, it means that no need to change icons

The UMap looks attractive.

Hi Yohan

I imagine these are different rooms in a school or different meeting places.

They would have to be sanitized. Whilst they have been tagged, have never been really used, this is the first attempt.

If they can be visualized overlaid on a map and in JOSM, Id, etc, probably they would be rationalized a lot more.

Having seen the UMap, this is the best option for now, if it is possible to get this as a TMS Layer as well for general use on other system, then that would be perfect

Hi Yohan, if it is possible to figure the ways and pois for display a UMap would be the way to go

Been trying to add a dynamic layer but no success so far
