playground-18.png represent sports and not child playgrounds. See http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Tag:leisure%3Dplayground.

The mapnik symbol represents better the playgrounds.

Actually it's a swing (from Noun Project: http://thenounproject.com/noun/swing/#icon-No206), so I think it does represent child playgrounds. But I can understand that you prefer the other ;)

I've given preference to this icon because it has better proportions: the closer to a square, the more visible, as we follow the maki design rules.

I can give a try to the "mapnik" one when I have time.
