• Description: Cyclone Enawo hit landfall on 7 March at around 10.30 a.m. local time equivalent to a Category 4 hurricane. Latest reports mention major damage in regions Sava, Analanjirofo, Sofia and Analamanga. Need for latest imagery to do damage assessment and status of infrastructure. Thanks for posting here @toffehoff. Here's a quick rundown of what's currently available:

• Bing and DG have the mostly the same imagery in the Marowantsetra area (dated ~2013):
  • 
  • In the Antalaha area, imagery is ~2012
• There is an existing MapGive service (+ task 2030) north of Marowantsetra with more recent imagery (dated May 2016) in the Sambava District
  • http://hiu-maps.net/hot/1.0.0/sava-may2016-flipped/{z}/{x}/{y}.png
  • 
• Mapbox imagery does not go higher than z17, slightly different date than DG or Bing (unknown date though)

Are there specific priority areas to help reduce the AOI size? If we can break these into smaller AOIs (around 500-2000sqkm), then we can work to prioritize and task out.

Options at the moment are:

• DG has the ability to release this under their open data program

To update, DG is working on releasing this image as a part of their Open Data program. It is currently in process. Will update as soon as it's made available.
