Description:
Last image MSF bought for Missing Maps activity (see: http://tasks.hotosm.org/project/2488) was processed in-house but not properly. The TMS produced didn't display anything in iD or JOSM. Basically, MSF doesn't have the knowledge to be able to process imagery for Missing Maps activities.
In the end, I had to ask Nate to help me out by processing the image and setting up the tile service hosting. Nate was busy (and travelling), so it took a bit of time (not Nate's fault by any means), but it meant a delay of five days to starting the mapping (including MSF's attempt).
Would it be possible to document these processes, so that MSF and other NGOs could be more self-sufficient in this area?
Collaboartion opportunity:
MSF Austria is also keen to work on this in collaboration with HOT. Happy to put people in touch...
