All seems to be working okay - will remove the actual documents shortly from the staging site
As all seems to be working okay, script changed purely to remove the reference to this closed issue, which remains closed.
Layouts within the site have been updated by @michael63-osm and it is no longer necessary to manually create pdf's and odt's of each of the guides. Any person wishing to produce a .pdf version of a guide may do so by using the print menu of their web browser and choosing 'print to file' or similar.
At this stage we are keen to avoid having to upload new versions of all of the guides in the _posts folder to Transifex, as this would require new translations of all guides, with much lost work by translators.
Any new guides produced will not mention downloadable documents, and when an existing guide receives a significant rewrite, the paragraph should be removed.
The following actions will be required to change our current practice as painlessly as possible;
1). Staging site to be updated first as a test - all remaining items will be setup on staging site first (https://github.com/Nick-Tallguy/Nick-Tallguy.github.io).
2). Server which downloads updated translations from Transifex to be updated so that all future downloads are edited and the paragraph concerning downloadable documents is removed, before they are passed to the staging site.
3). Existing _posts on staging site to be edited so that they have the paragraph concerning downloadable documents removed.
4). Once the daily processes are working to everyone's satisfaction, existing downloadable documents to be removed.
5). When staging site is working okay, this site to be updated in a similar way.
Bear in mind that between stages 4 & 5, any guides that become 100% translated and are passed onto the main site, will have no mention of downloadable documents within them.
