9 years ago @geotheory Thanks for using the tool and suggesting a very useful feature enhancement. We are currently redeveloping the Export Tool to make it more efficient and user friendly and will try to incorporate this suggestion in the first round of its release.
It is being developed to be more robust and adaptable so future feature enhancement requests are easily added. Please follow its development at the osm-export-tool2 repository.
It would be useful to add functionality to enable the selection area to be specified to precise bounding box coordinates. The current drag box only enables approximation, so if the user needs 2 adjacent exports there's likely to be either a gap or some feature duplication between the exports.
