If there is no problem qith Quantum GIS, any shapefile projection is not recognized by ArcGIS (see attached). Might be a kind of "IE very personal interpretation of HTML" syndrome. But the issue is ArcGIS is from far the most used GIS software among the Humanitarian GIS community.
it might be because EPSG:3785 is supposed to be deprecated and replaced by 3857 by OGC?
