I'd be interested in doing this.
I'd like to drum up attention for this feature request. It has recently been discussed in the HOT Quality Control and Assurance Working Group; see the discussion in the HOT Slack quality-control_wg channel that started on September 9, 2022 with this post: https://hotosm.slack.com/archives/CLF237CMD/p1662662719440189 there has been general agreement that if we had a RSS feed that we could send to a Slack channel, then we could crowd-source a bit of project vetting and potentially stop poorly created projects before they cause data quality issues.
Vetting new projects by the crowd is already happening now and then, in an informal way: validators who see inconsistencies in the project setup drop their concerns in the project chat.
But it is dependent on the responsiveness of project management if these concerns are properly responded to. And unfortunately sometimes it takes a while before project management responds.
So in my view responsiveness of project management should also be guaranteed to make this a success.
I'd like to receive notifications when there are new projects posted in my country. I can filter the list at
https://tasks.hotosm.org/explore?location=Australia
but an RSS feed is ideal so I can be notified when new tasks are added. Ideally any filter you set would also be able to output as an RSS feed.
