Windows

Operating System Version

Version 10.0.19045 Build 19045

Reproduction steps

  1. Stretchly is paused even though I didn't pause it
  2. Right-clicked the Stretchly icon in the tray
  3. Resuming Stretchly was not listed as an option
  4. Bug still presents even after uninstalling and reinstalling Stretchly ... Reproduces how often: [What percentage of the time does it reproduce?]

Expected Behavior

Expected behavior: Right-clicking the Stretchly icon in the tray should give the option to resume breaks.

Actual Behavior

Right-clicking the Stretchly icon in the tray does not present "resume breaks" as an option.

Relevant log output

This is above my pay grade. I am not a developer.

Hi @KahunaMystic , without log I am not able to help you. You really don't need to be a developer to copy it here, don't worry. Steps are described here: https://github.com/hovancik/stretchly#debugging

Hi Jan, As I was preparing to reply to your message, I reinstalled Stretchly, and now it seems to be working as advertised.

In the case where I was not able to get it to come out of Pause mode, is there a way for me to get at the About section if I can't access the UI?

Thanks, Ron @KahunaMystic

Hi, there is an icon in tray.

KahunaMystic commented 6 months ago

I know. And when I right-clicked on it, only three things were included, one of which was that Stretchly was paused. I don't remember what the other two were, but none of them offered any way to interact with the app.

What do you mean by "interacting with app"? You interact with Stretchly mainly from tray icon. Break windows appear only when there is time for break. (https://github.com/hovancik/stretchly?tab=readme-ov-file#default-behavior)

The other 2 options were Preferences and Quit Stretchly. If you had Do not distrub enabled, then Stretchly is paused. There are different reasons why Stretchly could be paused. Log will tell the reason.

KahunaMystic commented 6 months ago

OK, thanks. If the situation presents again, I will photograph with my phone the menu that pops up when the tray icon is right clicked and send the photo to you.

For now, it is working.

The same issue occurs occasionally, particularly when there is insufficient memory or the CPU is stuttering. When it happens, even closing and restarting the program doesn't resolve the problem, but after some time, it automatically returns to normal. I once took a screenshot but lost it. Now the software is back to normal, but I can describe the issue: image My environment is Windows 10, and the software was installed from the Windows Store. The version is 1.15.1.

hovancik commented 4 months ago

@nadirvishun what do you mean this block disappears?

The first block is information message, so there is no action there on click.

nadirvishun commented 4 months ago

@hovancik just like this (photoshop) : image

hovancik commented 4 months ago

That menu disappears in specific cases, for example: You have Strict mode enabled and the break is on.

KahunaMystic commented 4 months ago

The problem has not presented in quite a while, so you can close this ticket.

hovancik commented 4 months ago

@nadirvishun that is expected behaviour, because your system went to Do Not Disturb / Focus Mode / However they call in on your OS. You can disable this by checking "Show breaks even in Do not disturb mode"

nadirvishun commented 4 months ago

@hovancik Thanks, I see, Perhaps it was the screen projection that automatically turned on the Focus Mode in Windows 10.
