Hi, I have this problem where TOTK crashes in Yuzu when I close any menu in the caves, it also has random crashes and I don't understand the cause.

Specs: GTX 1660 TI i5 9400f 16GB DDR4 game on SSD

Mods installed: image without the Yuzu fix the game wouldn't boot up. (stack in the loading screen)

Yuzu version: image

Shachar-Doron commented 1 year ago

Note, on any other Yuzu version I tried the game is stack on the Launching... screen. for example in the newest version of yuzu: image

It is stack here: image Would like to get some much-needed help, thanks!

You are using game version 1.0.0, these mods are for 1.1.1 or better.

We generally recommend using at least some update. image

Oh, and update your Yuzu. We're on mainline 1457, so you're quite far behind on 984. Disable all of those patches. Use lazy pack 30 FPS - 1080p - and run it at 1X scale. You may re-enable the UI mod if you wish, but make sure to choose a 'UI Mod Compatible' lazy patch.

In addition to what was said above, your system is somewhat underpowered for 60 FPS, particularly so with the 1008p rendering mod. It might be okay if you're running at 1080p docked.

You also have 3 RomFS mods running together. You need to make sure that none of them are modifying the same files. If they are, that is absolutely sure to be a source of conflict and will cause strange and unpredictable behavior.

Probably more than anything, as hoverbike said, you're version of Yuzu is way out of date. That is why you still need the TOTKYuzuFix. The current mainline version of Yuzu and Yuzu EA (Pineapple) have the fix incorporated into the codebase so the independent fix is no longer needed or maintained.

I did all of the above, how do I check if there are mods who use the same file?

You painstakingly dig through the files... Thats what we have done haha

Like i said, 30 FPS 1080p Lazy Patch provides you all of the mods you desire - use a UI compatible one with your playstation controller mod. Disable everything else, except the update, which should preferably be 1.1.1 Lazy patches for 1.1.2 are not quite good enough yet that I am happy with them.

Shachar-Doron commented 1 year ago

the only update I found is 1.1.2, I didn't check yet, just now remembered, later on, today when I have time I will check and report back, thank you for your time and dedication to helping me through this problem.

hoverbike1 commented 1 year ago

Hm, alright. For 1.1.2, i recommend you follow SoCats guide, and use its recommended settings and mods https://github.com/HolographicWings/TOTK-Mods-collection/blob/main/SETUP.md#gh-light-mode-only

now it all works, thanks guys, only other problem , it is lagging in the lava area

SpockBauru commented 1 year ago

It will always lag in certain areas, there's nothing to do about it :'(
