Ah, that makes sense. The cheat only applies to the base weapon, it wouldn't apply to the fused weapon. For the cheat only modifies the memory location of the base weapon having to do with durability. The memory address for the fused weapon would be completely different and would remain unmodified.
It is a similar problem for the the romfs mod applied to every weapon through a characteristic modification. All characteristics are ignored when the weapon is a fused weapon, so the modified characteristic can't negate the durability limit any longer.
The only way to fix this that I know of would be to modify the cheat so that it overwrites the memory value for the fused weapon durability as well as the base weapon. It's just a matter of finding and changing that second memory value.
Good catch, OP.
Thanks for the response! Hope to see a fix sometime soon, when possible of course.
Hi all,
When fusing any weapon to another weapon with the infinite durability mod enabled, the fused weapon eventually breaks, leaving only the base weapon.
I know that the mod is working generally because the base weapon does not break (even when it has lower durability than the fused weapon), and this issue never occurs when a material is fused instead of a weapon.
I've tried multiple times to add a Royal Greatsword over the Royal Guard's Sword, for example, and the Royal Greatsword always eventually breaks, while the Royal Guard's Sword is still intact.
