This reverts the stylized printing and also tries to fix a bug I'm seeing. I'll comment on the line there

@JustinGrilli this is ready for review and merge if it is ok. I've found a bunch more bugs in the datasource class. I've logged them but perhaps we can get together to pair on some of them.
