Hello Howard,
could you please upgrade drivers for usage with Volumio 3? I try do it by myself, but seems it need some special modules in library es or some new libriraryes.
Otherwise it looks like in year 2022 I should put in trash Aoide DAC II and buy another one from company which respect their's buyers and take care for software support in due time.
Just to add to this, can you either provide new packages or point users towards where the kernel module sources are so we can continue to use these?
I am another "customer" that is dissapointed with a DAC that i cannot use with latest versions of software. Just release the source so at least other (capable) people can try to salvage our boards.
What is your gain from having all these boards being left unused (or forced to use outdated releases, or even worse, forced to buy new DACs, making sure to avoid AOIDE DACs and making sure friends don't make the same mistake buying AOIDE again?)
@howardqiao I attempted to update some code I found using the same chip to try and get it to work, uploaded to here: https://github.com/spbkaizo/aiode-dac-ii-es9018k2m-dac - WARNING: DO NOT TRY AND USE THIS, IT WILL CRASH YOUR KERNEL.
Perhaps you could raise a PR on that repository, suggesting a better code base I could start work on? I hope you understand my request!
Hello Howard,
I would like to know if it is possible to rebuild your driver for Volumio 3 latest version ? As of today, current version of Volumio is 3.324 (2022-07-11) and require modules for Linux kernel version 5.10.92+.
Thank you !
