Proxy Support

What steps will reproduce the problem?
 In case of https proxy required

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

 Please commit my patch(attached file)
 I added comments '# proxy support' on the modified sentences.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

 latest version (2.8)

Thanks. The patch has been added to version 2.9 of the script.

I made one slight change.  The command line option -o was already taken for 
output directory, so I made the proxy parameter --proxy.
