YouTube blocked when added to Control List #170

I tried adding www.youtube.com in the Allow plug-ins on these sites box. When I reloaded the video there was now a Flash blocked for this website message over the video. I removed the site from the box and the page loads normally.

Why would the site suddenly be blocked when added to a list that's supposed to ALLOW it?

Youtube is special. To whitelist it properly you also have to remove the YouTube killer.

Thanks - I'd read that page (partially) and seen something about the YouTube Killer, but it didn't seem to apply.

I'm not even sure what the killers do. For example, killers/YouTube.js is listed, yet right now YouTube still loads and begins playing automatically even though I don't want it to play automatically.

Load Media Player Automatically is NOT checked. Initial Behavior: Do not preload Instant Autoplay is NOT checked Autoplay on these sites does not include YouTube Allow plug-ins on these sites does not include YouTube

It's not clear to me what you're trying to do, but if YouTube loads it sounds like CTP is not interfering there.

This is odd:

I have the JS Blocker extension installed. http://jsblocker.toggleable.com With that and CTP enabled youtube vids won't play. Disable either one and they do. Why is that? Is there a conflict?

If they were both blocking YouTube then the vids shouldn't play when one or the other is enabled.

Also, I removed the youtube killer and added www.YouTube.com to Control List>Allow plug-ins on these sites. Made no difference AFAIK.
