Keyboard won't show #391

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.I can't get the keyboard to show.. It's on in my settings.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system
(iPhone/iPod Touch? Firmware version?)?
I'm on my jailbroken (blackra1n) iPhone 3g. Currently on 3.1.2

Please provide any additional information below.
