Understand why the MDS performance is so much worse on ARCHER than other systems #7

ARCHER MDS performance (measured by mdtest) is very poor compared to the performance on Cirrus and Peta4-Skylake. What is the origin of this poor performance? How can we work out what is going on here?

Cray CoE understand this as older version of appliance and Lustre. Performance is in-line with expectations
