User Story: As a user, I want the UI of Liquid to be less complex so that the friction of using it is lower. Acceptance Criteria:

[ ] Create a list of minimal necessary features
[ ] Create a mock-up of the new UI

We have decided to abandon the idea of creating a simplified mode with a reduced feature set, as it would not produce a significant reduction in features.

Instead, we have created a list (#244) of changes to the UI of the application in its current form.
