Joystick missing neutral position #64

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Slide finger to move joystick in one direction (let's say right)
2. Slide finger back to the center
3. Joystick remains held right

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Once the joystick has been moved to a direction, there's no way to put it back
to the neutral position except by lifting the finger from the screen. Such
behaviour makes the control extremely problematic in certain games

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Mame4Droid 1.1.1

Even checking "Touch Death Zone" doesn't help: it just creates a neutral
central zone I can stay my finger on at the start, but once I've moved the
stick, going back to that zone doesn't place the stick in the neutral position
again.

also a full analog stick and you have neutral position...

All right! I imagine different people prefer different behaviours, so having
options to configure that is the best choice

BTW, thank you for the analog stick made available a few versions ago. It works
really well now, even if I have to set up the dead zone to the highest value to
really feel it right.
