And make it easy in general to share a link to the current state of the page.

Maybe something like the current mechanism, but add checkboxes to the sharing dialog, e.g. share wind conditions, share pattern settings, share canopy status etc?

Also, a more appropriate place for share button should be discussed. One problem with the current layout is that the button is placed such that it can be viewed as some kind of "OK" button for search field, which can mislead some visitors.
