I have been rebuilding my own version of the platform with a total redesign of the hardware into a model kit. The new instructions are here, and a description of the newest version of the platform is in this post.

Researchers at the University of Southern California have created their own fork of the project, including simplifying the design into fewer but larger parts. It seems like their construction instructions are in another repository, here.

The guide in this repository is in the Wiki, but these instructions are very outdated and this repository will likely not be maintained.
