Not sure if this is relevant to all HVACS, but on mine, when sending both "Power":"Off" and "Mode":"Off" it was preventing the clean function from working (the AC was turning off instead of entering fan-only mode for a few minutes).
This fix sends "Power":"Off" and Mode is left at what it was beforehand, seems to work properly on my AC.
(Running Tasmota 8.4.0 IR, not IR custom).
If it may be problematic for other ACs, feel free to reject it.
