Error in inla.call.builtin() : INLA installation error; no such file #98

Open david616007 opened 4 months ago

david616007 commented 4 months ago

Before I reinstall my laptop, it ran just fine for the INLA package. Unfortunately, now I can't use the package. I tried several version of R (4.3.0, 4.3.1, 4.3.2, 4.3.3, 4.4.0) but still doesn't work. The latest attempt I tried, I install the package from github. I don't know why I can't install it from the r-inla website. Here is the outcome when I use inla() for my model

Hi,

That is weird. The builds for R-4.4 is out now, so you might try that one.

Please follow the procedure at https://www.r-inla.org/download-install

Maybe you run into a timeout issue?

options(timeout=9999) if (!requireNamespace("BiocManager", quietly = TRUE)) install.packages("BiocManager") BiocManager::install(c("graph", "Rgraphviz"), dep=TRUE) install.packages("INLA",repos=c(getOption("repos"),INLA="https://inla.r-inla-download.org/R/testing"), dep=TRUE)

Let me know

What I have on my RStudio is INLAspacetime. It runs well, but of course it won't work for the inla(). I just confuse what is wrong with my device. My main reference is Blangiardo, M. and Cameletti, M. (2015) Spatial and Spatio-temporal Bayesian Models with R-INLA and of course your paper.

Thank you in advance, Sir.

Sir, I want to inform you that the INLA has worked. I truly apologize to disturb your day. I have one last question, is there any chance if I email you one day when I need something to ask about the INLA based on your work?

try again with

options(pkgType="both") options(timeout=99999) install.packages("INLA",repos=c(getOption("repos"),INLA="https://inla.r-inla-download.org/R/testing "), dep=TRUE)

you see from the log that you rearch a timeout so the download is not complete hence error

also, there is no need for Rtools

you have a timeout issue, so it fail to download packages before the timeout that was set. I guess slow internet.
