RGB30 JELOS is not appear any 2-byte characters on menu screen. #18106

Game or games this happens in

On PPSSPP system menu

What area of the game / PPSSPP

On system menu.

What should happen

JELOS 20230903 is not appear any 2-byte characters.(Kanji,Hiragana,etc...) Pre-install JELOS is appear the characters. On same ver. ppsspp.

I don't know that which has problem.

JELOS? or PPSSPP?

What's JELOS?

It is Linux base OS for game device.

Example.) For Powkiddy https://powkiddy.com/

OK. I understood it that you don't know about the OS.

So, This issue should close. Cuz, The issue will relate with JELOS.

That said, I'm unlikely to work on fixing this on my own anytime soon, but it's still useful to have an issue report.

May be due to missing fonts, while those fonts came with the pre-installed one.

My friends got the way to solve the issue. It's too easy. The JelOS use the Roboto-Condensed.ttf on PPSSPP menu & some system.

So,You must get the CJK-JP font and rename & replace the Roboto-Condensed.ttf in PPSSPP.

I'm clueless about the system. However, many of the retro game devices that are popular in the world have original OSes based on Linux and others. ・Device Original OS ・JelOS ・ArkOS ・OnionOS ・GarlicOS etc... These gaming device operating systems basically include several emulator apps and may also include PPSSPP in standalone form. *And Retroarch will include.

It would be nice if the OS developer fixed it, but I feel that this issue is not given much importance.

I hope this is of some reference.
