I tried a bunch of stable versions down (and including) to 1.13, all of them had the issue. No text in software mode, text is present in hardware modes. Didn't test anything older.

Did a bunch more tests. On Android everything works fine in software mode. So I'm thinking there's something wrong with my PC.

I think it's more likely to be a x86-specific bug.

ULJM05753 (JP) is not happen the issue on software redering mode.
