Request: PPSSPP Overwolf support #6725

Would be great if Overwolf could work with PPSSPP. I tried it right now and it doesn't overlay with the emulator, not sure if its even possible.

Would be great if you would provide something explaining what Overwolf is because I have absolutely no idea.

Yes, it makes possible to chat with a friend though almost every social network. Its annoying to change from fullscreen to Skype to tell a friend something during a multiplayer mission in Monster Hunter(example).

By the way, Skype for PSP existed once. Even, emulation uses the device "camera" as transport modules ~ mDNie from its permission.

Okay, so any idea why it doesn't work?

According to this comment, it appears that Overwolf whitelists the apps that uses it. In that case they need to whitelist us, not the other way around, and in that case I don't think there's much we can do.

If it's an issue of only working on Direct3D then you'll have to wait for PPSSPP's D3D backend (it's coming), but it appears Overwolf does work with some GL games.

There's now some very basic Direct3D support, which I guess Overwolf should work on top of. I don't think there's anything more we can do about this.
