I'm hoping to get the pcie webcam working on a macbookpro using webcamd. A Linux kernel driver exists (https://github.com/patjak/facetimehd) but it will never be upstreamed to torvalds/linux.
Is it possible to load custom drivers into webcamd? If so, hopefully it would be possible to load the prebuilt facetimehd kernel into webcamd, providing macbook camera support.
