Static IP address change on MJDWEDK affecting DICOM retrieval from research PACS #40

We are experiencing failure and denial when trying to move DICOM studies from research PACS to MJDWEDK. See the ticket to ISC below:

Hi, We recently noticed that one of our workstations, which is a designated machine to communicate to a research PACS and has had a static IP address, has gotten a new IP address which seems to be only assigned to machines in Richard building. The hostname of the machine is MJDWEDK. The location of the workstation is in Goddard 6F using the port GDD601E-1-U1,U2. It used to have IP address 10.150.16.130 but now its IP address is 10.150.12.100. This change in IP address has affected our interaction with the research PACS, and data collections. Could you please clarify that the change is intended so that we can adjust on our end or perhaps revert back to the old IP address if the change is accidental?

If ISC does not respond or resolve before I leave, I would suggest to follow up with Mark, and @gastouna to push ISC for a response. If the IP change is intended just not notified, we would need to change the IP address for the AE_Titles in research PACS (thru clearcanvas.) See https://github.com/hsieh42/exit_process/issues/10#issuecomment-422171471 for an example of how to add/change an allowed machine.

AE_Title that need to be modified:

Tested with the altered IP: 10.150.12.100 on ClearCanvas and shown that the studies can be retrieved. But this should not be a permanent solution as Mark pointed out until we understand the underlying reason of the change and address it, another random IP change might happen again. So the allowed IP is reverted back to the original IP: 10.150.16.121 for MJDWEDK_SCP2 in KONTOS_PROCESSED.

ISC closed the issue without doing anything on the day the ticket was opened.

@gastouna could you please check if the IP of MJDWEDK is still different from the one in the approved list in PACS and follow up with ISC? @bhaghighi needs access to the PACS to batch download Lung CT data.

Yes, the IP of MJDWEDK is still different. I re-opened the ticket with ISC. @bhaghighi let's wait for their response until the end of this week, and we will then decide how we proceed.

Final update: Upon communication with UPHS (contact person: Phillips Raymond), the new IP 10.150.12.100 has been locked to the MJDWEDK machine.
