New tabs are always opened in normal view even you switched to private mode.

Do you mean that when you click "new tab" in the pulley menu, a normal view is opened? Or that when you click "new private tab"? In my case "new private tab" opens always a private tab, and "new tab" a normal one. That is how it works without the patch also - or my memory fails.

I meant if you click on Open a new private tab from the burger menu, it actually open a new tab in normal mode.

Strange. I get a private tab both from the burger menu and from the pulley menu. How about if you disable the patch?

Sorry, I just realised that this is not a bug but a design issue. I confused some functions because the options are the same in normal or private view.

Actually, here are the steps I did:

Click on tab view (bottom left) ;
Switch to private mode ;
Pull down and choose new tab ;

As I didn't take attention, I expected a private window and thought it was a bug.

My second comment was wrong.
