https cert invalid caused service unavailable. #47

Since heroku now have free ssl beta program and there is Let's Encrypt free cert, is it possible to use that? I can help if you want, thanks.

Microsoft also restricted links to non secure sites in README.md for vscode extensions (https://github.com/Microsoft/vscode-docs/blob/vnext/release-notes/v1_14.md#changes-for-extension-authors). This is causing badges to not render correctly.

@hstove This should be a top priority issue.
