Mustache and Handlebars can also be used with text files. It'd be great if the non-HTML parts of this specification could be moved to another ("X"?), making HTMLX an extended specification.

I'm not sure how else to explain it, other than by providing precise divisions of features. But, an example would be that the text version would not have {@html} and on:event and attributes would be given no special meaning, so <tag {attr}> would just be text.
