There is some documentation in the README file, but not much... Nothing needs to be included in the spreadsheet other than the script.
It is just an experiment, though, so might well have stopped working by now.
I filed a bug report at the google apps script issue tracker that it should be possible to install scripts to documents. The Spreadsheet workaround is rather awkward. http://code.google.com/p/google-apps-script-issues/issues/detail?id=1396&colspec=Stars%20Opened%20ID%20Type%20Status%20Summary%20Component%20Owner
Scripts from documents appears to be a go now. I tried this today and it ran through, including putting a row in the sheet (I only tested with 1 citation to start). But the output was pretty lackluster; didn't seem to put a citation in to replace the {{cite:}}, only added the sheet data in bibliography at the end. Also didn't get the authors out of the DOI data, although that was clearly in the cell with the raw response. Also the PDF output makes my figures look terrible!
This seems worth updating, probably would make sense to run straight from the document now. I'll try to find some time in the next week or so; Alf are you interested in working on it again?
While I love the idea of this script, it seem that is missing some essential information: what should I include in the spreadsheet?
