Make outbound icons the default

@tsliaw : Can you confirm this is still the right direction? (Using emoji 🔗 to stand in for our icon.) To be honest, this feels like low benefit / moderate cost ... but it also seems like something that would be easy to do: Any easy win, in some sense, just not sure it's worth the time.
