Why isn't "Volume" available for new Lightsheet datasets? #2692

The other 4 have normal bit depth, but I can't flip them into 'Volume' display mode in the Portal. For example see https://portal.hubmapconsortium.org/browse/dataset/abc2742ced21e7b42e88c1e51b558dcb . What specifically is the Portal not finding in the data that prevents going into volume mode? I have a theory that it's slice spacing information in the ome.tiff pyramid, but that's just a guess. What do we have to fix to remedy this problem?

I'm sorry but in trying to get a list of cases which work and which don't, I've discovered that my failures were operator error. I can get any of the new Lightsheet datasets into volume mode if I do it right. I was confused because clicking on 'Volume' is not how you do it. Apparently I'd stumbled onto the right way when looking at that original lightsheet image with too little bit depth, and then failed when I tried the same thing with the others. Chuck, the issue you've created for me can go away. :slightly_frowning_face:
