Got GV number but unable to use DTMF dial pad to verify phone, there are no
key tones when I press the numbers.

My Panasonic cordless phone doesn't dial loudly enough for Google to hear the
tones.

In order to verify this phone, I used this online tone generator played from
the speakers of my computer:
http://onlinetonegenerator.com/dtmf.html

This is an issue of loudness, not briefness. Google can't hear the tone unless
it is loud. If the tone is brief and loud it does fine. If it is low and long
Or low and short, Google doesn't hear it.

Although this online generator did get me passed the verification process, it
is still an issue for me because, when Google's Calls screening asks me to
press 1 to pickup the call, it doesn't heard the 1 I press on this Panasonic
cordless phone.

Thank you lonnie...@startport.com.
I was able to activate my Google Voice forwarding using the tone generator link
above. At first I had no luck, but then I decided to call the ipkall washington
number directly from another phone to hear what was happening. I realized I
could only hear 1's, 4's, and 7's. The other numbers were just coming across as
clicks. I ended the call and went back to Google Voice. I kept refreshing the
2-digit activation number until it contained both of the numbers above (took 15
attempts). Then I tried again and it worked instantly. Later when I tried to
repeat the process, I noticed that different numbers were working and that the
1's, 4's, and 7's were just coming across as 'clicks', so you will want to test
by calling the ipkall number directly to see what tones are coming across and
which are just clicks. Not sure why this happens.
