Adding a star ⭐ feature to highlight exceptionally good apps #38

Any thoughts on adding a star ⭐ feature to highlight exceptionally good apps, especially to help out those new to Mastodon and the Fediverse, or those just wanting to find another good app or service quickly?

Example for it here Entries marked with a ⭐ are apps and services that are either recommended by us, have a good set of features, or are generally often recommended or mentioned by the community. Especially intended for those new to Mastodon and the Fediverse.

My concern is that this is a bit subjective. But I think the way you've framed it is good: as just apps that are commonly recommended by the community.

Sounds good to me then.

Thanks for the input. I have some reservations as well since it definitely is a little subjective, but overall I think it'll be quite beneficial to newcomers. Since you agree as well, I'll add it (#39) but I'll keep this issue open a little while longer in case anyone has any valid objections.
