Would you be open to a non-circular mode that showed module names up front where possible, like a partition layout?

@tmcw great idea, and yep I'm open to it :)

I was planning on reimplementing disc in WebGL (for performance and kicks) over the holiday break, with more comprehensive results – would you be interested in collaborating on that? In the meantime, still happy to accept a PR for something with d3 as there's always the chance I get busy!

Any progress on this? Otherwise I might give the partition layout a shot for a PR
