mk-audit dies if running mysqld --help --verbose dies #135

Although mk-audit relies heavily on gathering information from mysqld
--help --verbose, there are cases in which mysqld is broken and cannot be
ran, even though it is already running on the server.

In such cases, mk-audit needs to try to struggle along, gathering whatever
information it can.

I forgot that I opened this issue for myself and then had Ryan open issue 219 
which
is the same thing.
