About fixed and trainable splits #7

Hi,

I was trying to make sense of the codebase but unfortunately I can't grasp what's the purpose of defining trainable and fixed splits? So far I've seen you apply it to the Linear module and the Parameter module in rho.

Can you help clarify this?
