Same value on "sensor.solis_energy_today_X" -sensor on multiple invertor in plant. #295

Describe the bug Since moving over to Soliscloud.com API integration a few weeks ago, my device entities names have changed, so I've had to rename them.

I have two soils invertors in my configuration. All is well apart from the Solis Energy Today - "sensor.solis_energy_today_X" -sensor

Both my sensors show the same value for example today

sensor.solis_energy_today = 36.7kw (which is 3.6kw Hybrid invertor with sized panels) sensor.solis_energy_today_2 = 36.7kw (which is 2.0kw invertor with sized panels)

Looking at the graphs in HA, they are different (different troughs and spikes according to cloud coverage), but the values being recorded are the same.

The other "Solis entry X" look to be correct e.g.

Solis Energy This Month 245.0 kWh Solis Energy This Month 202.0 kWh

Solis Energy This Year 1,340.0 kWh Solis Energy This Year 1,110.0 kWh

Solis Energy Total 3,900.0 kWh Solis Energy Total 3,240.0 kWh

All other values seem correct on other sensors.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Versions HA Version an deployment 2023.6.2 HACS version 1.32.1 Integration version 3.3.3

Please check if workarounds.yaml Value should be use_energy_today_from_plant: false When set to true it takes the total value for energy today from the plant, which is a help for some people who still have issues with soliscloud API calls being wrong, but it only helps if you only have one inverter in the plant.

@hultenvp I have the same issue. All three inverters show the same production. This is my workarounds.yaml:

# Switch on/off SolisCloud workarounds 

#SolisCloud returns daily on grid energy a factor 10 off
correct_daily_on_grid_energy_enabled: false
#Default energy today is taken from inverter detail. Some experience issues, 
#alternatively use energy today from plant, as it is the sum of all #inverters 
#registered under the plant it can only be used with single inverter per plant
use_energy_today_from_plant: false

I want to be sure that you actually receive correct values from the API and that the cause is in the integration.

Could you uncomment line 284 in Soliscloud_api.py: #_LOGGER.debug("%s", payload) to _LOGGER.debug("%s", payload)

and then run with debug enabled. This will produce debug output with the raw responses from the service. It should show responses for all inverter serials. Could you report the responses here (don't forget to remove anything you don't want on the internet and don't forget to comment out the line again afterwards as it will create a very big log left unattended ;-)). I'll have a look then if at least the values from the service are correct.

Please find attached the log. Also note the funny thing on the energy dashboard with solar production and consumption at night. If I recall correctly this is a bug we had a year or so ago as well?

Indeed the peak in the morning looks familiar. That fix is still in however. What does the sensor history look like?

I did uncomment and restart Ha before creating the log 🤔I can try redoing it. With regards to the midnight peak, this started after I moved to SolisCloud

Hi @henrikeri,

Sorry, but I really need the raw output of the API calls as described in my reply of July 17.

On the spikes: I could reproduce and fixed the case where the energy_today suddenly drops to zero and then bumps back again. Fixed that in 3.4.2. Not sure if that's what you're suffering from as well and if upgrading to latest fixes your spike problems.

hi all, i have the same problem in that both inverters are showing the same energy today. in my energy dashboard, I have only put in 1 inverter source for same energy today since it seems to be a summation. the problem is I am also getting spikes. For example, yesterday, solis energy today was 43.4kWh. on soliscloud, it showed my total yield as 29kwh.
