Build data assessment/edit/transform

Re-orient our thinking about the data upload tool: Think of it as a data assessment and transformation tool.

• Separate it from Extend Dimension tool
• Give more information on upload
• Give more information at the dimension level

Purpose: Overview of the data at a high level. What is the state of my table? How many blank cells? Edit values and characteristics of dimensions

1. Data Upload Overview of the data at a high level. What is the state of my table? How many blank cells? Are there machine-recognizable errors in the data? Inconsistencies of format, etc. Add appropriate metadata fields to the data to construct a citation. Provide Citation information for the data set Allow download of each table (csv/tsv) Allow download of Palladio json file
2. Edit Dimension Edit values to add data or fix errors. Define delimiters for multi-value cells. Search for a value. Identify columns with unique values vs duplicate values Define/modify the format of the data as text, date, coordinates, url, nominal, ordinal, sequence Verify data in a basic geo layout: see geographical distribution and edit individual values See the distribution of any numerical/temporal data Set boundaries on numerical data
