That's what Bedrock now requires. Without this, the plugin is incompatible.

I'm not seeing a PR but I see the commit from 16 minutes ago, is one on the way?

I see the last release was almost a year ago and I'm not familiar with the ins and outs of this plugin but it sounds like a sensible change, a PR is generally the fastest method to not get lost in the sea of github notifications.
