Name for python package #16

What should we call the soon-to-be python package? Pirates isn't terribly descriptive. Unless we can turn that into an acronym that makes some sort of sense, in which case I'd be very happy to keep the name. My best (not very good) attempt so far was "Purify Interesting ReAds That Excite Scientists". Or maybe pyRATES, where RATES is an acronym describing the function (or features) of the algorithm.

Or how about Python Read Adjustment Towards Error-free Sequences? Any better ideas @davidkohn and @jtj02?

I do think think we should strive to keep the prates name. What would make sense as a name for the bioinformatics community, something around "consensus" perhaps?

Something related to consensus, quality, cleaning or deep sequencing would certainly make sense. It needs to be specific enough (e.g. consensus sequences are important in when assembling genomes, which isn't what we are doing here) but also reasonably short and not too similar to an existing tool. They range from boring to whimsical (some may be taking it a bit too far). I agree that trying to keep the pirates name is a bit forced. And it certainly doesn't have to be an acronym.

Edit: @jtj02, when I read your comment initially I thought you were saying not to keep the pirate name but reading it again now it seems to say the opposite. I'm happy either way, especially if we can come up with a suitable acronym to go with it. Sorry, for any the confusion.
